Nationals 4, Cubs 3

Squeakers. The Nationals love squeakers.

Today was no exception, as the Nationals notched another one-run victory, this one against Mark Prior and the Chicago Cubs.

Livan Hernandez scattered 10 hits and gave up three runs in eight innings to collect his 11th straight win. Hector Carrasco pitched a scoreless ninth, giving Chad Cordero the night off.

Mark Prior struck out seven Nats, but gave up three runs on six hits in taking the loss.

The win extends the Nationals lead in the NL East to five games over the Braves, who play at Philadelphia tonight at 7:05.
