Livan Hernandez goes for his 12th consecutive win tonight, facing veteran lefthander Tom Glavine.

The Nationals won another one run game yesterday, 3-2.

Despite a strong stretch in which the Nats have won 12 of 15 games, they haven't won a game by more than two runs since a 5-2 win over Toronto on June 25, and haven't won by more than three since the 8-2 win over Texas on June 19 that started this 15 game stretch.

Jose Vidro returned yesterday after missing two months with an injured ankle and had an RBI double and scored the eventual game winning run.

Washington optioned Rick Short to AAA to make room for Vidro.

Yahoo! Sports reported that Hernandez tied Dennis Martinez for the franchise record for consecutive wins in his last start.
