WP: Ryan Drese (7-7)
LP: Robinson Tejeda (1-2)
S: Chad Cordero (31)
Another one run game for the Nationals, but not the usual way. The Nats and Phils combined for 15 runs.
Washington was up 5-0 after four innings, gave up three in the fifth to cut the lead to two, then scored three more in the top of the sixth to go up 8-3 before giving up another four in the bottom half to cut the lead to one, where it would stay.
The win kept Atlanta 2.5 behind the Nats and ensured that Washington would be in first at the All-Star break.
